Spring_2021_Waived_Application_Fee_WaiverOur online Associates in Health Information Systems (HIS) is ideal for anyone looking to either start or advance their career in healthcare. Health information systems and management professionals are two of the most in-demand healthcare professions.

Our program is flexible and accepts students 3 times a year (Spring, Summer and Fall). UC is waiving application fees for HIS applicants who apply for Spring 21 semester. Application deadline is 12/21/20. So, don’t wait – APPLY NOW!

Admissions Requirements

New Student:

You are currently a high school senior or have a high school diploma, GED or home-school equivalent.

Transfer Student:

  • If you have previously attended college, you must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • If you have taken any health care management core courses (including Medical Terminology), you must have received a grade of “C” or better or you will need to retake the course
  • Transferability is based on school accreditation, course/content comparability (including evaluation of practical assignments), year taken and final grade

Transfer Course Credit
  • Transferring HIS courses must be from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management (CAHIIM).
  • Transferring courses must have objectives comparable to UC’s HIS course(s) and a grade of “C-” or better.
  • General courses must have objectives comparable to UC Clermont’s course(s) and a grade of “C-” or better.
Course Credit for Credential Holders

Students who possess active credential(s) through AHIMA or AAPC may be eligible for course credit. Please discuss with your Enrollment Advisor.

  • Certified Coding Associate (CCA)
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
  • Certified Coding Specialist – Physician Based (CCS-P)
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
