The program satisfies the coursework requirement for the Ohio Department of Education’s Gifted, Creative, and Talented Endorsement and meets Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) standard.
This certificate is nationally recognized by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).
Students of the Gifted Education Certificate will be able to sit for the Gifted Education assessment test of the Ohio Assessment for Educators (OAE). Non-residents of Ohio will be able to sit for comparable assessment tests in their respective states.
