Candidates who wish to apply to the Intervention Specialist Licensure program must meet the following requirements.

Prerequisites
  • A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Undergraduate Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (4.0 scale).
Admission Materials
  • Statement of academic and professional goals, with a cover letter.
  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation.
  • Transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work.
  • A current, valid professional teaching license.

Application Process

To apply, use the Tk20 Portal and follow the below process:

Tk20 Account Holders:
  • Sign in to Tk20 with your 6+2
  • On the main menu, click “Applications”
  • Select “Application to Special Education Initial and 2nd Licensure Programs
All Other Applicants:
  • Go to uc.tk20.com
  • Click “Admissions” at the bottom of the home page.
  • Click “Click here to create your account” at the bottom of the page.
  • Create a guest account (make note of your username and password)
  • Click “Admissions Applications” from the menu.
  • Click “Create New Application”
  • Locate the “Application to Special Education Initial and 2nd Licensure Programs
Items Submitted with Application:
  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
    • One (1) from Immediate Supervisor or Principal
    • One (1) from an individual familiar with your success as a teacher
  • Transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work attempted
  • Copies of all valid teaching licensures/certificates
