The online Mammography Certificate program is designed to prepare graduates for eligibility to apply for the post-primary certification examination in mammography offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. It is also designed to meet or exceed requirements set forth in the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) for minimum didactic and clinical standards for mammographers.
Students are only admitted to the program in fall semester so please apply by the July 1 deadline. The curriculum is designed to be completed in two semesters (one year) but students may spread it over two years if they choose.
Students may also apply all mammography course credits toward the Bachelor’s Degree program in Radiation Science Technology which is also 100% online.
Mammography is specialized medical imaging performed by radiologic technologists critical to early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases in women. Technologists, also known as mammographers, are members of breast imaging teams within health care organizations.
