Candidates who wish to apply to the STEM Teaching and Learning Certificate program must meet the following requirements.

Prerequisites

  1.  Prerequisite Degree – The applicant must possess a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  2. Minimum GPA – The applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at the undergraduate level leading to the Bachelor Degree.
  3. Teaching Experience – Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in either a school or informal education setting, or an active teaching license
  4. Goal Statement – Goal statement explaining why the STEM Teaching and Learning Certificate is of interest
  5. Letters of Reference – 2 letters of reference, at least one of which discusses teaching experience

Applicants must write a goal statement explaining why the STEM Teaching and Learning Certificate is of interest to them.


Transcripts

Applicants must provide official transcripts of all undergraduate work.


Letters of Recommendation

Applicants must have three letters of recommendation, with at least one of which discusses teaching experience.


Teaching Experience

Applicants must have a minimum two years of teaching experience in either a school or informal education setting, or an active teaching license.


Undergraduate GPA Requirement

Applicants must have completed Baccalaureate Degree program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale).
