Ivy Tech Community College and UC Enter Articulation Agreement

Ivy Tech Community College and University of Cincinnati Enter Articulation Agreement for Medical Laboratory Sciences Online Degree Program

The agreement allows those with an associate degree in the Medical Laboratory Technology program from Ivy Tech Community College to enter the University of Cincinnati Medical Laboratory Science online bachelor’s degree completion program quickly and with all credits accepted for transfer. 

Cincinnati, Ohio: July 26, 2022 – University of Cincinnati (UC) and Ivy Tech Community College are pleased to announce an articulation agreement. The agreement allows students to complete two years of study at Ivy Tech. The Ivy Tech credits will transfer to University of Cincinnati’s online Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BS MLS) program for the third and fourth year of study.

“This agreement allows students to rest assured that the credits accumulated during their AAS program will transfer smoothly to our BS program. Students will be able to register for and begin their bachelor program courses during their first semester and will not need to take additional coursework before beginning their program of study,” said Erin Rumpke, UC’s BS MLS program director. “UC is proud to offer talented medical laboratory technicians the opportunity to continue their education and earn a bachelor’s degree without leaving the workforce. Our students’ work schedules span 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – so our online courses allow for this flexibility.”

The new agreement allows Ivy Tech to help students complete their bachelor’s degree at the University of Cincinnati without compromising work and family commitments. Students will have a seamless transfer process and are given a clear path to degree completion.
