Founded in 2004, our Pharmaceutical Sciences with an emphasis on Pharmaceutics/Drug Development (MSDD) program provides individuals a formal opportunity to further their knowledge in drug development.
A collaboration between academia, industry, and government, the Master’s in Drug Development provides cross-disciplinary training in the scientific, regulatory, and business aspects of drug development. Graduates are uniquely prepared to participate in the multidisciplinary process to translate a therapeutic concept from lab bench to bedside.
Along with our MSDD program, we offer two graduate certificate programs, including Clinical Trials Design & Research and Global Regulatory Affairs in Drug Development. These three options are all online, asynchronous and available to part-time and full-time students.
The Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree with an emphasis on Pharmaceutics/Drug Development online program was designed for professionals working in the scientific, regulatory, or business aspects of drug development. The drug development master’s degree provides an in-depth and formal education around the complex science and processes of drug development. Completion of the masters program can help advance careers in all phases of research from preclinical to clinical and beyond.

The College of Pharmacy faculty have a strong track record of research and mentoring in drug development research (molecular pharmacology, biomarkers, pharmacokinetics, drug safety (including mechanistic bases for drug-drug interactions/adverse drug reactions), and formulation of novel drugs.

The MS in Drug Development program is typically completed in 5 semesters or 20 months if taken part-time.
For the MS Pharm Sci: Drug Development program, A grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 or foreign equivalent is recommended.
