University of Cincinnati’s Online MLT-to-MLS Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science

The online MLT-to-MLS Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, offered by the University of Cincinnati College of Allied Health Sciences, is a convenient choice for those who have already completed an associate degree program in CLT or MLT. It allows students to complete their bachelor’s degree while balancing work and life responsibilities, providing the flexibility needed to remove traditional barriers to going back to school.

This is a MLT-to-MLS completion program, most students will need a completed associate degree prior to starting. Exceptions can be made for only military MLT students missing an associate degree. Contact us at [email protected] and your Enrollment Advisor will work with you directly.

Our program is designed to emphasize the technical and academic skills necessary for today’s medical laboratory scientist. Students will also complete a clinical practice portion of the program, as well as a medical lab science program capstone research project.

Why Advance from a MLT to MLS Degree?

When you advance your degree from an MLT to an MLS, you also advance your career in a field Scientist in gloves examining vialsvital to patient diagnosis and treatment. In addition to their primary work, those with an MLS degree also provide insightful analyses in a variety of roles – from forensics to pharmaceuticals – by examining and analyzing blood, body fluids, tissues, and cells; designing and conducting studies, and monitoring patient outcomes; and much more.
