Counseling and Psychological Services — CAPS
UC CAPS achieves excellence through a community-based, integrated care approach to psychological services and training that creates an optimal healthy environment for students to grow psychologically, relationally, and intellectually, as well as achieve wellness and academic success.
The services you receive at CAPS can take a number of forms. The decision about which type of service may be appropriate is based on many factors, including your current concerns and needs, your counseling history, scheduling considerations, and availability of resources. Our goal in this process is to find the best way to attend to your concerns in the most effective and efficient way.

Student Health Insurance
Online programs do not qualify to receive the student health insurance and therefore students will not be eligible or charged the premium. You can read more information on the College of Medicine’s Student Health Insurance page.
General Eligibility
On-Campus students enrolled in a qualifying program, registered for 6 or more credit hours or co-op, are charged the Student Health Insurance premium. If eligible students do not waive or activate coverage they will automatically be enrolled at the end of the enrollment/waiver period.
