As you think about becoming a UC Bearcat, you’ll likely have many questions about the University of Cincinnati Online admissions process. Your dedicated contact will help to answer all of them. The first step for admission to both our undergraduate and graduate programs is to submit an application.

Enrollment Support

Once you apply, you'll talk through the requirements of the program with an Enrollment Services Advisor.

Obtain Transcripts

For undergraduate consideration, you must submit a request for official transcripts from every school you attended. For graduate school, you only submit unofficial transcripts and have more time to submit your official transcripts.

Meet GPA Requirement

The GPA requirement will vary from program to program. It is generally 2.5 for undergraduate and 3.0 for graduate. Be sure to check the program for criteria and what to do if your GPA is lower than required.

Provide Proof of License or Credential

Many fields in human services and healthcare will require an active license or credential.

Obtain Letters of Recommendation

Prospective graduate students will need to have letters of recommendation submitted on their behalf. Each graduate program will outline the details of what is needed in these letters.

FAQs

Can I provide more than two letters of recommendation?

Yes. You can provide additional recommendation letters. You can simply add the additional recommender’s contact email to your application. They will receive an email from UC asking for their recommendation. This can be a good idea if you’re worried about one of your recommenders not getting their letter in on time.
Can I transfer credit hours from my previous associate’s or bachelor’s program?

Yes. You will need to work with a program advisor to understand what credits will apply and meet the minimum requirement for credit hours completed at the University of Cincinnati.
Does financial aid apply to certificate programs?

Some certificates qualify for financial aid, while other certificate programs do not qualify for financial aid. Ask your Enrollment Services Advisor to understand if your certificate program is financial aid eligible. Your Enrollment Services Advisor will also connect you with a Financial Aid Office representative to best understand all of your options.
Does UC have job placement or career services available?

Yes. We want to make sure you put your new UC degree into action. Our career services team will assist by providing tips and suggestions to help you find your ideal next job.
