Lindner College of Business has announced the launch of its new Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Business Graduate Certificate program. The new graduate certificate program is offered online and on-campus, and applications are being accepted. The application deadline for fall 2024 enrollment is July 31; the final spring 2025 application deadline is Dec. 1. The curriculum for this new graduate certificate program consists of four core courses (eight credits) and two elective courses (four credits), totaling 12 credit hours. These requirements can be fulfilled in two to three semesters (nine to 12 months). The AI in Business Graduate Certificate can be completed as a standalone certificate or paired with Lindner’s MBA, Master of Science in Business Analytics, or Master of Science in Information Systems programs. AI in Business is meant to align with job opportunities across the business landscape, from data scientists, business analysts, financial advisers and investment managers to marketing managers, information systems managers, and operations and supply chain managers. The program provides students with flexibility, hands-on experiential learning opportunities with the latest AI tools, access to expert faculty, and a connection to Lindner’s 50,000-plus alumni network. “AI is becoming a big part of business, and a lot of people want to upskill on AI quickly and learn how to apply AI to business,” said Sachin Modi, PhD, professor and head of Lindner’s department of operations, business analytics, and information systems. “The intent of the certificate is to equip students with the correct tools and techniques to achieve this.” While no previous experience with AI tools is required for this graduate certificate, a basic background in Python programming and information systems is helpful. This graduate certificate, which is focused on empowering students to leverage AI to develop solutions to business problems and increase productivity, can be completed online or in person. Juggling school and other commitments can be difficult. That’s why UC Online equips its students with personalized support from start to graduation.
