The Medical Billing & Coding Certificate prepares students to become professional billers and coders in the healthcare industry. They work in hospitals, clinics, doctors offices, nursing homes, pharmacies, insurance companies, etc. preparing and coding bills and reimbursements for medical care. Using the latest technology and industry-established codes, professional coders indicate what treatments were received, what the diagnosis was and the level of care that was given. Medical Billing & Coding professionals are in very high demand due to increasing regulation in the healthcare industry in addition to the rapidly aging population.

Classes are asynchronous, some classes are in a 7-week format some are in a 14-week format. You can log on anytime 24/7 to complete your coursework. Some, but not all tests are proctored using exam proctoring software.
