Military Benefits & Financial Aid

From federal tuition assistance to the Montgomery GI Bill and Post 9/11 GI Bill, there are many ways for active-duty service members, veterans, and their dependents to get financial support to help pay for a University of Cincinnati degree. Our Veterans Programs & Services office will help you understand the military and veteran funding available to you.  No matter how you have served, or are serving, we are here to help you get the education you deserve.


How to apply

We understand that this process can sometimes be overwhelming, so we wanted to outline the steps you need to take in order to qualify and receive your benefits at the University of Cincinnati.

    • Submit an application with the VA to determine eligibility:
    • Apply for admission to The University of Cincinnati:
    • Confirm your degree program and major:
    • Prepare for out-of-pocket expenses:
    • Complete a VPS questionnaire:
    • Work with a college advisor to select appropriate courses:
    • Complete the VPS benefits form and submit it to the office of Veterans Affairs:
    • Check your eligibility for Ohio in-state tuition through the “Ohio G.I. Promise” and apply if appropriate

Active Military & Veteran Scholarship

University of Cincinnati is proud to offer multiple scholarships for Active Military and Veterans. Scholarships are offered per semester and are available for both full-time and part-time students.
