Associate of Individualized Study in Interdisciplinary Studies The Associate of Individualized Study in Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS) is an online degree program that allows you to create your educational pathway based on your unique educational history and career goals. As an associate-level program, students can complete their degree in two years or less, depending upon the number of transferable credits they already have. Working closely with faculty, students develop their curriculum focusing on multiple areas of study, offering both flexibility and maximization of previously earned credits. Who should consider an Interdisciplinary Studies degree? If you have already earned 40 or fewer college credits but haven’t completed a degree, AIS allows you to use those credits towards completing an associate degree, even if they are in multiple disciplines and from various institutions. If you eventually seek to earn a bachelor’s degree, AIS can be a stepping stone towards a seamless transition into either a Bachelor of Technical or Applied Science or a Bachelor of Professional Studies. After completing AIS, most students can complete these bachelor’s degrees with two additional years of study.
