Online Certificate in Insurance and Finance Management
The Online Certificate in Insurance & Finance Management (IFM) at the University of Cincinnati equips students with foundational skills in insurance and finance management. Graduates of this program will be prepared to serve insurance and financial institutions’ clients.
All credits taken as part of this certificate may be applied toward the Associate Financial Management degree. To succeed in this program, students must possess excellent critical thinking skills, problem solving, communication skills, and the ability to analyze information.

Admission into the University of Cincinnati’s online Certificate in Insurance & Finance Management is open to all students with a high school diploma or GED and the desire to succeed in college. Although admission is open, students accepted into the program must meet the academic standards of the program to advance to upper levels of study.
Prerequisites
As a first-year student, you will need to take an English and mathematics placement test if you have not obtained the minimum ACT/SAT score required for exemption. These tests do not affect your admission; however, the results are essential for your proper placement in classes. You must complete placement tests before you register for English or mathematics courses. All placement tests are given free of charge.

All applicants are required to upload unofficial transcripts during the application process, showing all undergraduate and graduate course work completed, including degrees granted and dates of conferral.
Official transcripts are not required until the student has received and accepted an offer of admission from the university. Once the offer has been confirmed, the student must submit official transcripts.
Students who have received degrees from the University of Cincinnati do not need to submit official paper copies of their UC transcripts.

The University of Cincinnati's online course fees differ depending on the program. On average, students will accrue fewer fees than students attending on-campus classes.
The one fee applied across all UC Online programs is the distance learning fee. Students living outside the state of Ohio must also pay an additional “non-resident” fee to enroll in courses at UC Online. This fee is lower than the out-of-state fee for traditional on-campus programs.
