AGPCNPs, also called AGNPs, are independent health-care providers with prescriptive authority in all 50 states and are defined as primary care providers under federal law. The Cincinnati Online AGNP program is offered entirely online and is designed for working nurses who are seeking an advanced degree.

The University of Cincinnati MSN in AGNP online program requires 44 total credit hours, plus about 504 hours of clinicals and 42 total lab hours. The coursework is usually completed within 24 months (six semesters), and courses are offered in a distance-friendly format.
