Strengthen your knowledge in health care finance, economics and management.
The University of Cincinnati Online Health Care Finance Graduate Certificate program prepares students to analyze data and make sound financial decisions affecting health care organizations. Students will receive a well-rounded, interdisciplinary curriculum jointly delivered by UC’s College of Allied Health Sciences and the Lindner College of Business.
Health Care Finance is a decision science that relies on an analytical framework for thinking through different incentives which can be associated with different forms of payment. How societies pay for health care and how many resources are devoted to health affects both the care people can get and its quality. Knowledge is needed to help patients and health care beneficiaries pay for medical expenses in the short and long terms.
Classes are asynchronous, some classes are in a 7-week format some are in a 14-week format. You can log on anytime 24/7 to complete your coursework. Some, but not all tests are proctored using exam proctoring software.
Yes. Our online students are no different from our on-campus students in that way. You get a specific ID that you can use to navigate different systems at UC and for potential student discounts.
Most of our programs do not require onsite visits, but there are a couple of exceptions.
If you are interested in pursuing the Master of Science in Nursing-Nurse Midwifery, you will have two skills intensives that take place on campus. The Post-Master’s Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program has one onsite visit that occurs during the first semester.
