What is Health Information Management?

The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) defines Health information management (HIM) as “the practice of gathering, analyzing and securing all forms of important medical information that helps provide quality patient care. This specialization stretches across business, science and information technology.”

The HIM program is designed to equip students with the tools, knowledge and skills needed to succeed in advanced healthcare and leadership roles.
