The Associate of Applied Business in Healthcare Management Technology program prepares students, post-graduation, for an entry-level business career within the healthcare industry. Individuals interested in playing an important role in healthcare without having patient contact may want to consider this fully online, two-year associate degree program.
Healthcare management is the overall management of a healthcare facility, such as a clinic or hospital. Healthcare management professionals collaborate with medical staff leaders to help a facility or hospital department meet its goals, run more efficiently, and maintain a positive relationship with its patients and employees. A healthcare management professional’s duties may include: planning processes, preparing budgets, creating departmental goals and strategies to reach them, and working to improve the quality of healthcare services.
