I have been teaching Sport Facility & Event Management (grad and undergrad), Sport Law, and Sport Analytics while at UC. Q: What do you emphasize most in your teaching? We are trying to provide as many practical examples into the classroom as a means of making the content for fun and engaging for the students. Q: What are some of your favorite assignments? We are utilizing daily fantasy sports and have an assignment using NFTs in the sport analytics class. We also try to visit sport facilities and assess their strengths/weakness for both sport facility classes. Q: How long have you been at UC? I have been at UC since Fall 2019. Q: How long have you been teaching? I have been teaching classes since Fall 2010. Q: What is your background/professional experience in athletics? Spent time in college coaching and academic/athletic advising before starting my doctoral degree. Q: Any degrees/certifications/awards/etc.? I completed my bachelors and masters at Grand Valley State University and my doctorate at the University of Louisville. Q: Favorite sports team? I root for all of my Chicago (professional) and Illinois (college) teams!
