Any student with a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, regardless of field of study, is eligible to apply to a Lindner graduate program. Applicants should have at least a B grade average (3.0 GPA) in relevant undergraduate coursework, or otherwise provide evidence satisfactory to the admitting department.

Applications are reviewed in a holistic manner, with careful consideration given to all aspects of the application portfolio. Below are the application requirements for admission to the online Master of Science in Business Analytics program.

Prerequisites:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution
  • Two semesters (or three quarters) of college-level calculus
  • One course in linear algebra or matrix methods
  • A basic knowledge of computer programing is not required for admission, but must be acquired before starting the program. Examples include C, C++, Java, Python, R, Ruby, SAS or Visual Basic.

Applicants who are selected to move forward will be notified and receive a request for a virtual interview, proctored by Kira Talent. The interview must take place within two weeks after notification.

Unofficial school transcripts are required for the application (including University of Cincinnati transcripts).

Goal Statement

Please be prepared to answer the following questions (in essay form):

  • Describe a situation in which you failed to achieve a goal. What did you learn from the experience? (400 words max)
  • You just entered the elevator with a member of the Applicant Review Committee. You only have a few minutes – what would you say to this individual so that they might look favorably upon your application? (250 words max)

Letters of Recommendation

Please provide two (2) letters of recommendation. At least one should be a professional contact, the other can be academic.

Please note, the name and email address of each recommender is required.

Tests Scores (Optional)

The Lindner College of Business is now test-optional for all graduate programs. This means applicants can submit standardized and/or GMAT/GRE scores if they would like them to be considered as part of their application; but they are not required.

An official TOEFL/IELTS is required for all international applicants.

International applicants must also submit foreign transcripts for evaluation to an agency recognized by the National Association of Credential Evaluating Services (NACES; www.naces.org).
