The online MSN AGPC NP program prepares professional nurses to work with patients at many different stages in life. Courses focus on in-depth study of a wide variety of advanced topics including physiology, health assessments and the finance and economics of healthcare.
Beginning Spring 2027, as part of the curriculum, NURS8020C will include a multi-day, in-person immersion at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. Attendance for the full duration of this onsite experience is a required component of the course.

The online adult-gerontology primary care NP degree program coursework can be completed in six semesters. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for either the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) exam or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification exam.
Graduates of AGPCNP program will be eligible for licensure within the state of Ohio. Other states may have restrictions for out-of-state nursing programs and online programs. Students based outside of Ohio should contact the appropriate licensing agency in their state of residence before enrolling in a nursing program with UC Online.
Accreditation: The AGPC NP master’s degree program and other online graduate nursing degree programs at UC College of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the Higher Learning Commission.

This course provides opportunities for the advanced practice nurse student to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for the performance of comprehensive and focused health assessment. This course addresses clients across the lifespan and the pediatric and family students receive additional pediatric information in their lab sessions.

Each Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program can be done in as little as two years. There are additional options available for several programs that allow students to take these programs at a slower pace. Although these options extend the length of the selected program, they often make it a more feasible option for the student.
The Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program is a part-time program built to be completed in as little as four semesters, or one year and four months. The Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner program has no set time frame due to the extremely customizable nature of the curriculum.
Yes. The vast majority of our students work throughout their time in their academic program. It is important to assess course load and financial aid to understand how to balance school and work.
If possible, students may cut down on their work hours during a clinical portion of a program.
Yes. Many of our students qualify for some type of financial aid.
