FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                                                                         Contact: Mark Koski

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 15, 2020) —The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and the NFHS Network have agreed to terms with the University of Cincinnati (UC) Online as a new corporate partner.

The University of Cincinnati, which recently celebrated 200 years of service in higher education, administers more than 300 majors and 100 certificate programs to its population of more than 46,000 students. UC provides an expanded list of online degrees and certificates that includes its Master of Science (MS) in Sport Administration, a fully accredited program through the Higher Learning Commission that can be completed entirely through an interactive online campus.

Utilizing partnerships with organizations such as the NFHS, the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association and the Ohio High School Athletic Association, Cincinnati’s MS in Sport Administration online program prepares students to pursue careers at the interscholastic, intercollegiate and professional levels of the sports industry.

“We are thrilled to enter into a new corporate partnership with a like-minded institution in the University of Cincinnati,” said Karissa Niehoff, NFHS executive director. “While we operate in different capacities, the NFHS and UC Online share the same mission through the education of young people and are committed to developing the next generation of societal leaders.”

As part of the agreement, the University of Cincinnati Online will be the exclusive Educational Academic Program Partner of the NFHS Network. In addition, the university will have the ability to produce 30-second promotional videos for multiple NFHS and NFHS Network platforms, will be publicized on NFHS social media channels, and may distribute materials at the annual National Athletic Directors Conference and NFHS Summer Meeting.

“It is with great respect and excitement to announce the University of Cincinnati Online’s official partnership with the National Federation of State High School Associations and executive director Dr. Karissa Niehoff,” said Dr. David J. Kelley, associate professor and online MS in Sport Administration program coordinator at UC. “The NFHS has been the distinguished leader in education-based athletics through promoting the value of participating in high school sports and activities, and I am very honored and proud about this significant partnership. Our faculty has over 40 years of high school and college athletic administration experience and through this partnership between the NFHS and the University of Cincinnati, together, we will accommodate the best possible educational opportunities and develop the next generation of sport industry leaders in athletic administration.”
