Below, we’ve provided sample schemas for common nursing professions seeking a Post-MSN Family Nurse Practitioner certificate. Please note that these schemas are for example only. A customized schema based on your previous academic coursework will be created upon admission to the program. The Program Director will make the final determination on which classes you receive credit for when reviewing an application. After a decision has been made on your application, the Program Director is always willing to review a syllabus for more detail on a class to determine if the ANCC or AANP would accept it – particularly when it comes to Advanced Pharmacology, Advanced Health Assessment and Advanced Physiology & Pathophysiology. We want to ensure your customized schema achieves the ANCC/AANP standards while completing the program in a timeframe that meets your needs.
Note: To award credit for NURS8022 Advanced Physiology & Pathophysiology, NURS8020C Advanced Health Assessment, and NURS8024 Pharmacology, your previous coursework must have been completed for the Advanced Practice Nurse, across the lifespan, with a grade of 3.0/4.0 scale. You may be required to provide a syllabi to ensure requirements are met to sit for licensure. The below sample schemas include:
