How long will it take to earn my certification?

UC’s online post-master’s certificate is not a one-size-fits-all program. Depending on your previous master’s level coursework and professional certification, licensure and clinical practice, your path to completion may vary. Every post-master’s applicant will have an independent review and schema created custom to them.

What are the requirements to enter the program?

Applicants to the Post-MSN Family Nurse Practitioner online certification program must have:

  • An active and unrestricted United States RN license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing conferred from a regionally and nursing accredited institution
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the last degree earned
  • Completion of an undergraduate statistics course with a 2.0 or higher on 4.0 scale
  • Science GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • An MSN conferred from a regionally and nursing accredited institution
