Online Bachelor's in Criminal Justice Degree

UC Online’s Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program is designed to provide students with an understanding of criminal offending and the criminal justice process. As society continues to grow, so does the need for careers in criminal justice and the understanding of how and why criminal behavior occurs.

The program is offered 100% online and students may enroll in the spring, summer, or fall semester. It typically takes students four years to complete the degree. Curriculum

UC Online’s Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice program includes a wide range of hands-on learning opportunities. Classes such as Service Learning in Criminal Justice allow students to better understand the relationship between the community and correctional organizations, police, and courts. Other classes in this program include Ethics and Criminal Justice and Criminal Punishment, which examines theories and philosophies on corrections and rehabilitation.

Criminal Justice Careers

Graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program will be prepared for careers in law enforcement, corrections and supervision, security, and safety in both the public and private sectors. Private companies often seek professionals to keep property secure and people safe or to conduct private investigations. In the public sector, graduates find employment at the local level in police and sheriff's departments, at the state level with state police and prison systems, and at the national level with the federal prison system, FBI, and Department of Homeland Security.
