UC Online’s HIM program is designed for both practicing registered health information technicians (RHITs) looking for continued field experience as well as students who are just beginning their studies in Health Information Management.
Our HIM program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education. Graduates will be able to sit for the national certification examination to become Registered Health Information Administrators (RHIA).
The curriculum for this course is designed to equip you with the tools needed to succeed in a leadership position. As a student in our BS in Health Information Management program, you will be assigned to a small cohort of your peers led by a faculty member.

Classes are asynchronous, some classes are in a 7-week format some are in a 14-week format. You can log on anytime 24/7 to complete your coursework. Some, but not all tests are proctored using exam proctoring software.
