Behavior Analysis Graduation Support

All students in the Master’s in Behavior Analysis program at UC Online are provided access to a Student Success Coordinator to help guide them from enrollment to graduation. This is why our behavior analysis program boasts a 90% graduation rate and is top ten in the world in volume of students to pass the BCBA exam. My background has been in the Higher Education field. With over 10 years’ experience, I have worked with students through positions in enrollment management and student support. I enjoy helping students achieve their educational goals and see them succeed in their program!

All new students meet with me via a Welcome Call. This call provides students with a program overview, how to navigate the UC learning and student information systems, class registration, and graduation planning. Our behavior analysis program offers a virtual Learning Community where students can connect with others in the program, staff, and faculty, ‘outside the classroom’. Our Learning Community is also a wealth of resources and knowledge for our students to utilize throughout their time in the program.

UC Online has a dedicated staff member for financial aid. As a Student Success Coordinator, we will connect students to our resources in the Student One Stop/Financial Aid Office. Our Faculty and support staff for the behavior analysis program are awesome, from our faculty to program directors, students have additional support within the program.

Students will register through the University’s Catalyst system. During the Welcome Call Process I walk students through utilizing this system and am available to help them each semester with this process. At any point if a student has questions or issues registering, I’m here to help!

I check in with my students periodically throughout the semester. With new students I will call them within their first 3-4 weeks in the program to get feedback about their experience thus far. I also check-in with upcoming graduates about their experience in the program. As the SSC for the behavior analysis program, I am here to be supportive in addition to being a liaison to the University and academic advisor. I encourage students to reach out at any point no matter what the issue may be.

The MEd. in Behavior Analysis is a program that can be completed in 5 semesters, we set a graduation date during our first call! Student issues pop-up, whether that is needing to sit out a semester or needing to retake a course. I work with each student to revise their academic plan and set a new target semester for graduation.
