Flexibility of Online Bachelor of Social Work Degree is Key to Graduating

Misty McGee has spent her career advocating for people who need representation and support, including in the work she does her job as a Client Rights Officer for Eastway Behavioral Healthcare. Although Misty already had a degree and on the-job-experience, she set her sights on earning a bachelor’s in social work (BSW) and becoming licensed. Having the BSW would help Misty prepare to enter a master of social work program later.

Before enrolling at the University of Cincinnati (UC), Misty had started another institution’s program. “After about three weeks, I quickly realized they couldn’t serve a person like me. I work full-time and already had a degree,” she says.

I felt very supported by all my instructors and my academic advisor.”

Today, Misty has realized her goal of earning a bachelor’s degree to ready herself for a social work master’s program. I could complete everything without sacrificing my time with her,” she says.
