Business Applications Technology: Start to Finish Support

Each student in the Associate of Applied Business in Business Applications Technology program at UC Online has access to a Student Success Coordinator to help guide them from enrollment to graduation.

Learn more about the support students receive while enrolled at UC Online from Abigail D., Student Success Coordinator for Business Applications Technology.

Step-by-Step with Abigail D.

My passion is helping students pursue and achieve their educational goals. I’ve worked with students, of all ages, for the past 5 years as they go on their educational journey. I enjoy being part of the student support team at UC Online and seeing students succeed in their program.

Orientation Support:

All students new to the Business Applications Technology program will meet with me during a Welcome Call. On this call, I review the program in-depth, discuss what to expect as a UC Online student, explain how to navigate student systems, go through how to set up a meeting with their academic advisor, and answer any questions students may have.

The program also has a self-paced online orientation that gives more program-specific information. The online orientation allows students to familiarize themselves with our online portal and informs them about available resources.

Course Registration:

After a student connects with me on their Welcome Call, they will set up a meeting with their academic advisor. The academic advisor will go over class specifics, create a graduation plan, and walk through the registration process.

If at any point in the future students have questions or issues registering, I am here to help.

Check-ins:

I check in regularly throughout the semester with my students, reminding them of upcoming deadlines, class registrations, and anything else that has come up in the program.

I call new students within their first three to four weeks to see how their semester is going and to gather their feedback. I also check in with upcoming graduates about their experience in the program.

Graduation Support:

We work with students to set a graduation plan that works with their schedule and outside commitments. As life changes, we assist students in adjusting their graduation plan to help them graduate in a timely manner.

Upon completion of the Business Applications Technology program, students can seamlessly transition into the Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS) program to continue their education. In these cases, I work with students to get them connected to their Enrollment Services Advisor, who walks them through the application process for the BTAS program.

As the Student Success Coordinator for the Business Applications Technology program, I am here to be supportive and assist students with any questions they may have during their time in the program. I look forward to talking with you in the near future.
