Students pursuing admission into the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Immunohematology/Blood Banking must meet the academic and background requirements outlined below. To meet qualifications for the ASCP Technologist certification exam via Route 3, the required biology and chemistry courses must be listed on the official transcript as courses taken in the biology and chemistry departments. Other courses which the applicant feels should be considered as a biological science or chemistry course may be acceptable if the applicant submits proof to ASCP at the time of application for the technologist exam. Only courses taken at the 100 level or above, where the student has earned a passing grade, will count towards the academic requirements. Submit official transcripts from all schools attended. Transcripts can be sent through online systems such as Parchment to the University of Cincinnati Undergraduate Office of Admissions. This is the preferred method. These transcripts must be official copies of the student’s record.
