UC Online’s Application Software Support Specialist Certificate welcomes applicants from various educational backgrounds. To apply, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Prerequisites

Freshmen:

High school diploma, final official high school transcript, GED or home-school equivalent.

There are two courses that must be taken before enrolling in the certificate:

  • IT 1050- Fundamentals of Information Technology
  • IT 1001C- Computer Applications OR IS 2080C- Digital Technologies for Business

Transfer:

Transferability is based on school accreditation, course/content comparability, year taken, and final grade.

Submit all official transcripts for every school attended. Learn more about requesting your transcripts.

Application

Complete the online application and submit a $50 application fee.

Applications are accepted continuously throughout the year. Our staff will review your application based on the following.


Transcripts/GED

Transcripts can be submitted electronically or by mail. To see if your transcript(s) can be ordered electronically, visit the links below and search for your previous school(s).

Transfer Course Credit

UC requires all students to complete at least half of the program at UC to receive their degree. The maximum credits allowed for transfer for this program would be 24 credits.
